Our sizes & quality

A bigger bulb, a stronger start. A bulb’s size (its circumference in centimetres) tells you a lot about how much energy it holds for its first year. We choose firm, well-graded sizes so your bulbs get off to a strong start.

Fresh from the field

Our bulbs come from family growers and are freshly lifted and checked. Healthy, dry, firm bulbs. Never soft or mouldy ones.

What “size” means

Every species has its own size range. A bigger bulb isn’t always “better”, but it is stronger in the first season. Where it’s relevant, we show the size on the product.
