Description
In April, when other daffodils are already past, this dwarf narcissus begins to bloom. A cheerful mother with an egg-yolk-yellow trumpet and soft yellow swept-back petals.
Mother Duck is a Cyclamineus that flowers late. Other narcissuses in the same group open already in March. Mother Duck waits until April and closes the daffodil season beautifully. Yellow and white, no taller than 25 to 35 centimetres. Full of character and a lovely scent. Plant her with early varieties and the bloom carries on into May. You can cut her easily. She naturalizes well under deciduous trees and in grass areas.
The Season Closer. When the others stop blooming, she is just getting going.
